Some of the many innovative building practices included in the project are: infill development using current infrastructure; insulated concrete floor slabs, polished concrete, finished floors; advanced framing to save lumber and maximize insulation efficiency; low-E glazed thermal pane windows; high density spray foam roof insulation; recycled cellulose wall insulation; high efficiency 2-stage furnaces; heat recovery and fresh air ventilation systems; construction waste reduction, recycling, and down-cycling program; high efficiency water heaters; low chemical emitting paints; sustainable finishes; ENERGY STAR appliances; advanced lighting and controls; water saving plumbing fixtures such as water faucets, shower heads, toilets; rain water reclamation system for toilet flushing and irrigation for the entire building; rooftop photovoltaic power for each unit; partnership with EPA's ENERGY STAR and APS.
